Virgin Media O2 opens 14 Data Centers in London to help those in need

Virgin Media O2 has opened 14 new data centers in O2 stores across London to help people in need stay connected online, especially during the holiday season. These centers are part of the national digital inclusion network, offering free mobile data, SMS, and calls to those in need, regardless of their mobile operator.

Free Sim cards for the underprivileged

Eligible individuals can receive a free O2 SIM card with 25GB of monthly data for 12 months, allowing approximately 275 hours of internet browsing per month. This helps people access essential services, such as medical appointments, job applications, and online training, while staying in touch with loved ones.

The new data centers in London include stores in Edgware, Hounslow, Ilford, Brixton, Colliers Wood, Eltham, Lewisham, Stratford, Walthamstow, Wandsworth, Wood Green, Woolwich, and Tottenham Court Road.

Ongoing commitment to inclusion

Nicola Green from Virgin Media O2 stated that these new centers help those affected by data poverty stay connected and access essential services. Virgin Media O2 is committed to fighting digital poverty and building a more equitable digital future for all.
