Some cities host events. Ljubljana transforms them.
A story that began as a whisper. It all started during a jam session, almost unnoticed. Two figures of hip‑hop culture stood aside, observing the energy of the young dancers. Abdellaziz Bakiz, pioneer of online battles and founder of Formless Corp. OG Samson, European breaking legend since 1983 and coach of Slovenian champions. They shared the same vision: the culture needed a space dedicated to youth, with real values, real structure, and real soul. From that simple conversation came a bold idea: create an independent championship where kids could dance freely, safely, surrounded by their families, without betraying the essence of hip‑hop. Five years later, that idea has become a global phenomenon.

Ljubljana, a stage open to the future
This weekend, Ljubljana is not just hosting an event. It becomes a crossroads where young dancers from around the world come to defend their style and shape their identity. The WKBC is not a stepping stone. It is a stage. A place where beginners meet prodigies, where the final rounds reveal a level that often defies expectations. This is where talents like Carla Firebird, CCHANGE, Jeff Attack and Hiro 10 first shined. Jeff Attack and Hiro 10 even reached the top 16 at the 2024 Olympic Games.

An artistic team rooted in true hip‑hop
The WKBC’s strength also lies in its artistic team. Judges, DJs, hosts: all are among the best in the movement. They come to reconnect with the joy, the energy, the original spirit of hip‑hop. The event is supported by EKSTREM, FM Agency and the mayor of Ljubljana, turning the city center into a full cultural immersion. A global reach that keeps growing. In just five years, the WKBC has become a worldwide platform, more than 5,000 spectators, more than 500 participants over 20 international qualifiers, 49 countries represented. For one weekend, Ljubljana becomes the world capital of youth breaking.
Two days, two atmospheres, one shared intensity

An identity that never cheats
What makes the WKBC unique is its DNA. Its closeness to the dancers. It’s flexibility, authenticity. Everything is built by people from the culture, for the culture. Its slogan, We Are All Stars, says it all. Every dancer matters, every kid has value, every style deserves to shine. And now, let the stars rise This weekend, Ljubljana becomes more than a city. It becomes a launchpad, a stage, a home. A place where young dancers will spin, create, shine. And maybe, without us knowing yet, write the first lines of tomorrow’s breaking history.
